Kenya Lodge Safaris and Kenya luxury permanent tented camps in or close to the Kenya National Parks and Game Reserves are used in these itineraries, in addition to the "Kenya Tree Hotels" in the Aberdares National Park, Mount Kenya, Taita Hills and Simba areas of Kenya. Central public buildings will generally be of wood and stone.

Bedrooms may be incorporated in the main building, or be in individual cottages/ chalets or in the case of camps, may be spacious insect-proof tents. In almost all cases, bathrooms are ensuite and rooms are furnished with double/twin beds or tripple rooms.
Most Lodges in these itineraries have swimming pools. Tree Hotels in Aberdares have game viewing decks or verandas and are situated adjacent to floodlit waterholes. In warmer areas, Dining rooms and Bar areas may be open and airy. At higher, cooler altitudes, Kenya lodges are fully enclosed and may have long fire in the evening. .
